The lessons are designed to develop beginners' understanding of spoken English. Each lesson includes four steps.
1/ Listening and Comprehension
To hear the pronunciation of a word, simply click on its image. For sentences, you can click on the large central image to hear the sentence again. To make your training effective, repeat the words and sentences as soon as you hear them.
2/ Pronunciation Test
The sentence you have to pronounce is not written in English; the series of images tells you what to say. The goal is to be able to express yourself without reading. For the speech recognition exercises, if the microphone flashes red, you can say the sentence. Otherwise, you must click on the microphone to reactivate speech recognition.
3/ A Short Video
To see the new words learned in context. The videos have visual subtitles to help you understand them.
4/ Comprehension Test
You are presented with four images; choose the one that best matches the description you hear.After completing the 35 lessons, you will be able to watch your first English film and understand it easily.
